Professional Projects

For my internship, I worked as an intern for the Sam Houston State University Center for Innovation and Technology under its director, Dr. Pamela Zelbst. The primary focus of my internship duties was to assist Dr. Zelbst in digitizing, modernizing, and improving the appearance and content of the forms the Center uses to intake and introduce visitors, interns, and various student workers to life at the Center.

This assignment required that we individually complete two tasks:
1) Editing two of iFixIt’s existing instruction guides, and
2) Selecting one of iFixIt’s device pages and generating content and editing the existing information to improve the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for that page.
Our final deliverable consisted of a reflective transmittal memo communicating our experience and all work we performed.
For my editing projects, I chose to work on the guides for replacing a volume button on a Samsung Galaxy J7 v phone and the replacement of fan of an Nvidia Shield Controller.
For my SEO project, I chose to work on the repair page for a Craftsman Lawn Vacuum.
