In my professional career, I have worked for the past nine years as a paralegal, but prior to that, I was an editor in the Oil and Gas industry. I know that my varied career background only makes my skill set stronger, therefore allowing me to be an even greater asset to a company. The following is a snapshot of my work experience. Work Experience

2021 - Present

Texas Attorney General's Office

Austin, Texas

Assisting the four attorneys of the Bankruptcy Regulatory Team in the Texas Attorney General’s Bankruptcy & Collections division in representing various state agencies as needed in bankruptcy matters in Texas, as well as Delaware, Virginia, and New York. My role helps generate and file documents with those states’ respective federal courts (using Pacer), handles distribution of subpoenas, opens new matter files, and corresponds with state agency representatives and court personnel as needed.  I organize the attorneys’ electronic files. I maintain the team’s calendar and individual calendars, as well as track time.

2020 - 2021

Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom

Austin, Texas

I assisted attorneys in county, municipal, and occasionally federal courts in auto insurance defense litigation. I was responsible for deposition and trial preparation, preparing and answering discovery, transcribing tapes, preparing chronologies, and gathering and organizing invoices to support affidavits. I used iManage document management system to store documents and maintain client files. I handled three attorney’s calendars and tracked time.

2019 - 2020

Nathan Sommers Jacobs

Houston, Texas

As a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant, I drafted various pleadings and correspondence for Trustee actions regarding bankruptcy estates and filed them as needed in state and federal courts. I performed UCC and Texas Secretary of State searches and utilized various other means of research. I maintained two attorneys’ calendars, including calendaring deadlines. Sent out client invoices and corresponded with clients as necessary.
